This past August, Prof. Paul Holloway presented a paper entitled, "Verum gaudium res severa est: Reflections on the Hermeneutics of Literarkritik," at the 2018 meeting of the Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas in Athens, Greece.
Dr. Holloway is writing a commentary on St. Paul's first letter to the Corinthians for the International Critical Commentary (ICC). While in Athens he was invited to join a multi-year project funded by the Danish government studying the ethics of the early Christian apostle Paul and the Roman philosophers Seneca and Epictetus.
Prior to the conference, he and Melissa and their daughter Lillian spent a week in the Peloponnese at Ancient Corinth and Epidauros, as well as Isthmia and Mycene.
